In the first draft, I introduce the topic I will speak about: Being billingual.

This peer review provided valuable insights for both my peers and me regarding our introductions. We critically analyzed each other's work and offered constructive feedback on ways to enhance the strength and clarity of our essays.

"Lost in Translation" is a work that explains my experiences being billingual. I share my how I was raised upon it, the negativity that came with this advantage, and the immense effect it has had on who I am today.

In the first draft, I introduced the media I would be analyzing: Childish Gambino's "This is America" music video.

In the peer review, my classmates gave me advice on ways I could improve my introduction. 

In the revision plan, I spoke about rereading my essay and making possible tweaks. I also included how helpful peer reviews are. 

This revision plan helped me reflect on what I could do to further improve my writing before submitting a final draft. 

My Media Critical Discourse Analysis discussed the hidden messages in the iconic music video, This is America by Childish Gambino.

To begin, I developed a focused research question with the help of AI. 

Next, I created a Annotated Bibliography with the sources I found to help in answering my research question: What role does identity play in shaping solidarity within and beyond the Arab-American community in the face of discrimination?

The third step was to interview someone who could give their experience to add personal credibility to my piece. I decided to interview my mother.

The final step in my third major project was to reflect on my research question with the help of the interview I conducted.
