Thanks for the mail and concern. I am fine. I must thank Dr. Tom and Dr. Gireesan who came with me and gave all the necessary help and only after putting me in comfort they left. I had a muscle problem on my back while i was returning to the starting point. Onward I was perfectly okay. It was an acute and intense pain so only I was limping but I was quite determined to reach the destination and happy that I did it.

Your arrangements are excellent, the following enhancements may be thought of.

1. Live telecast through NuVision channel to all the residents of township

2. display of Track plot

3. Display of distance at different places

4. Time log of all participants in database.

5. Use of QR coding on the BiB and a mobile QR code reader to quickly log the time at various locations without disturbing the participants while runing/walking.

6. In between locations may be provided with water/glucose

7. Photographs may be updated on the web for user to take or obtain on chargeable basis.

These are only value additions. The conducted marathon was with full perfection though.

I enjoyed the beach walk. Thanks for your great effort. Expecting more such events in the future.

We also can have a marathon club at Kalpakkam with interested members. The club can take up other social causes like beach cleaning (swatch bharath), blood donation, help for the needy etc. in addition to arranging regular marathon events.

Though I live in Kalpakkam for nearly 30 years I have rarely been to the beach for serious walking. It was really wonderful experience. I was impressed. In fact Station Director has also conveyed his positive impressions on the walk. Thanks to all the volunteers and specially to you and Tom who are making this happen..May be next we have a cycle rally .. The beach was much cleaner than I expected. We can encourage our residents to walk/ jog on the beach. Thanx once again.
