Welcome!

My name is Klint Shim. I am a PhD student in philosophy at Yale University. Before Yale, I completed my B.A. at Swarthmore College.

I primarily work on modern European philosophy (esp. Spinoza, Hegel, German Idealism).

My first academic publication, on Hegel’s theory of property, appeared in the European Journal of Philosophy. I also have several working papers on related topics and others (see Research & Projects).

Outside of philosophy, I am a European football fan, a lover of the 19th-century British/Russian literature, and an avid dabbler in classical music (currently in the Mahler phase).
