β€οΈβπ₯ Size Matters: The #1 biggest mistake people make is trying to use a strip that is too big. It is vital to size correctly. If you use a strip that is too big and touches your skin or cuticle at all, it will not cure to the nail properly. Always size down if needed.Β
β€οΈβπ₯ Prep Your Nails: Cut/file your nails as desired. Next, make sure you push back your cuticles and remove all cuticle from the nail bed.
β€οΈβπ₯ Wash Hands With Dish Soap: It's so important to have clean and dry nails. Oil is what loosens the adhesive, so if you have any oils on your hands they wonβt apply as well. Dawn, or any degreasing dish soap, does the trick. Skip hand soap.
β€οΈβπ₯ Warm Hands & Strips: These strips may not adhere correctly if they are cold or adhering to cold fingers. Warm those babies up with a small heating pad! Yep, just lay them right on the heating pad on low heat while you're applying to keep them AND your fingers warm. Trust me... it makes all the difference!
β€οΈβπ₯ Pinky to Thumb: Start with your pinkies and end with your thumbs. You'll be using your thumbs to apply and press the strips, so end with the thumbs.Β
β€οΈβπ₯ Use Cuticle Stick: Pick up strip with the orange stick to apply to your nails. The less you touch the strip the better, touch just the end you're going to cut off. Then use this, or a rubber cuticle pusher, to really push that strip down to your natural nail.
β€οΈβπ₯ Think Fitted Sheet: Lay the strip gently on the nail at the cuticle. Do not overlap the cuticle, put it as close to the cuticle as you can without going over. Push down up one side of your nail, and then up the other side, and then press up the middle of the nail. Once you feel it's pressed down, press it again.Β
β€οΈβπ₯ Cut the Strips Close: Next, cut the LED strips as close to your natural nail as possible.Β
β€οΈβπ₯ Looks Flawless Before You Cure: The most important thing with these strips is that you get a πππππ & ππππ fit before curing. The strips will cure how they look. So if you put it under the light with parts lifting, it will cure that way.Β
β€οΈβπ₯Cure Time: Do not cure more than twice! If you press the button on the lamp once it will cure for 45 seconds, if you hold it down it will cure for 60 seconds. One cure is usually all you need, but no matter what, don't cure more than twice or they will start to lift.
β€οΈβπ₯Finishing Up: After curing, file gently *at an angle* so you don't ruin the finish of the nail.Β
