Hello explorer families!  My name is Holly Kleinman and I am thrilled to be your student's teacher this year.

I have dreamed of becoming a teacher since I was in elementary school because of my own amazing teachers who showed so much love and understanding toward their students.  I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Sacramento State University, and my Master of Arts in Education/Counseling from San Diego State University.  I recently received my teaching credential from UC Davis and will be entering my second year of teaching with each of you!

I place a high emphasis on students' social and emotional well being through restorative practices and trauma-informed teaching.   I aim to cultivate a classroom environment that encourages compassion, empathy, and joy in my students.  I have over ten years of experience in education working as an after school teacher, paraeducator, behavioral therapist, and higher education counselor.

I love spending time with my cats, gardening, baking and cooking, practicing yoga, going to the movies and drive-in, hiking, and playing video games!

Classroom donations such as Kleenex, Clorox wipes, art supplies, and healthy, non-perishable snacks are always appreciated throughout the year!

Please remember you can email me at any time if you have questions, concerns, or just want to check in regarding your student!
