Hello explorer families!  My name is Holly Kleinman and I am thrilled to be your student's teacher this year. 

I had dreams of becoming a teacher since I was in elementary school because of my own amazing teachers who showed such love and patience toward their students.  I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Sacramento State University, and my Master of Arts in Education/Counseling from San Diego State University.  I earned my teaching credential from UC Davis and will be entering my fifth year of teaching.

I place a high emphasis on students' social and emotional well being through restorative practices and trauma-informed teaching.   My classroom's magical environment encourages compassion, empathy, and joy for learning.  I have nearly twenty years of experience in education working as an after school teacher, para-educator, behavioral therapist, and higher education counselor. 

I love spending time with my cat, reading, going to the movies, baking, swimming, puzzling, practicing yoga, and playing video games!  

Classroom donations such as baby wipes, Clorox wipes, and healthy, non-perishable, pre-packaged small portion snacks (NUT FREE!) are always appreciated throughout the year! Feel free to check out our classroom wishlist throughout the year for more specific items!
