Jack P.C. Kleijnen is an Emeritus Professor at Tilburg University, internationally recognized for his work on the statistical design and analysis of experiments with computer simulation models. His expertise spans management science, operations research, and engineering, with a focus on extracting insight from simulation experiments. Jack has served as a consultant for organizations in Europe and the USA and contributed to numerous editorial boards and scientific committees.
His career includes several years in the USA, working at universities and private companies. His publication "Design and Analysis of Simulation Experiments, Second Edition" (Springer, 2015) is a widely used guide for researchers and practitioners in the field. He is the recipient of several prestigious honors—for example, the Simulation Society of INFORMS awarded him the Lifetime Professional Achievement Award (LPAA) in 2005, and the Queen of the Netherlands appointed him a Knight in the Order of the Netherlands Lion in 2008.
His goal is to advance the field of simulation experiments and to support new generations of scholars.
