KSS Choirs

Students are selected by audition. Many styles of the jazz idiom, including swing, be-bop, ballad, and improvisation will be studied. This choir is performance oriented, including morning, evening, and weekend time commitments. The vocal jazz ensemble travels frequently, and will make at least one extended trip to a festival competition. Expect 30 + performances throughout the year.

Students study advanced choral literature, focusing on correct tone production, ear training, music theory, and develop music reading and writing skills. This class is performance oriented with approximately 15 performances throughout the year.

Students study a variety of choral styles, concentrating on good vocal production. Music theory and ear training will be an integral part of the course. There will be at least 6 performances throughout the year.
