Attendance Expectations

Active Members

Actives are expected to attend all formal chapters, programming chapters, and department chapters. Active members have 1 unexcused and 2 excused absences per semester.

Special Status Members

Special Status members are expected to attend all formal/voting chapters. They are also expected to attend all mandatory events such as philanthropy events, initiation, and recruitment workshops.

Senior Status Members

Senior Status members are expected to attend all formal/voting chapters. They are also expected to attend all mandatory events such as philanthropy events and initiation.

Submitting Excuses

In order for absences to be approved, you must have legitimate reason and documentation that you're unable to attend. Please reach out if you have any questions regarding attendance and absensces!

Approved Excuses

Examples of excused absences are being sick (with a doctors note), being out of town (with proof that trip was planned prior to chapter date announcement), class (with schedule proof), SI session with proof of attendance, sports practice, or Bible study/ Church.

Unexcused Excuses

Reasons that do not count as an excused absence are formal/all fraternity away weekends, having an exam to study for, being out of town, babysitting, work, "I don't feel well", or appointments.
