Commercial kits require a 30-minute lysozyme incubation at 37 °C as part of the Gram-positive bacterial DNA isolation procedure. In contrast, the KK-Kits completes the major DNA isolation steps in about the same time as this single incubation step. Therefore, the KK-Kit provides the shortest overall isolation time for Gram-positive bacterial DNA compared with the all-commercial kit.
