Dear Karate-ka:

Welcome! Again, I have the honor of serving as your host and Camp Director. It is with great pride and pleasure that I extend to you this invitation to participate in the 17th Annual Kiyobukan International Summer Camp. We are honored to once have a host of world-class instructors within Shorin-Ryu and, also outside of our style. You will find that the instructors that I have hand-picked are very approachable and incredibly knowledgeable. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn from the very best.

This year’s camp will be at the Marriott City Center in the Grand Ballroom. We will have sport tatami mats covering the entire training floor. The hotel is within walking distance of numerous shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Please take advantage of the host hotel, it is well worth it. They are both offering great deals on excellent rooms and services. Please take note of the cutoff date to receive the special rates.

12th ANNUAL ALL-KIYOBUKAN CHAMPIONSHIPS are now open to any camper. This has proven to be a very exciting highlight of our camps. Compete and be a part of the action! Cheer on your favorites and watch new champions emerge!

FAREWELL PARTY: 

Sunday after the camp, everyone is personally invited to attend the Farewell Beach Party at the Crab Shack restaurant in Newport News. The Crab Shack is located right next to Huntington Beach (indoor and outdoor seating). Enjoy some of the best seafood in the area as you have fun at the beach and or the pier for fishing! So don’t forget to bring your swimsuit and/or fishing rod! You will have worked extremely hard this weekend, now it is time to relax and enjoy yourself. Plan on staying an extra day… IT IS WORTH IT! ☺
