Masanobu Kikukawa 10th Dan Hanshi
Born in Miyako Island, Okinawa, in 1954. He began his karate study in the Goju-Ryu style of karate in 1964. He later transferred to the Shorin-Ryu style, where he studied under Gibu Sokuichi, Touma Seiki, and Kakinohana Keishun Sensei.
Hanshi Masanobu Kikugawa came to Canada from Okinawa. He opened an acupuncture clinic in Victoria, BC.
Hanshi Kikugawa has studied several martial arts. He also is also ranked 6th Degree black belt in Shorin-Ryu Kobudo, 3rd Degree Black Belt in Judo and 3rd Degree Black Belt in Aikijutsu. While the Shorin-Ryu style of Karate included ancient weapons training or Kobudo, Kiku expanded his knowledge of the ancient Okinawan weapons techniques, to include the more original techniques of Ryukyu Kobudo. He has a 6th Dan under Kinjo Masazaku's Ryukyu Kobudo Hozonkai.
He has competed in many tournaments placing 3rd in the All-Okinawa Full Contact Karate Tournament in 1983 and was the Okinawa Shorin-Ryu kata Champion in 1986.
He currently serves as director for several Martial Arts Associations and is Kaicho (chairman) of the Okinawa Shorin-Ryu Karate Shinkokai.

Hanshi Hobson began studying Okinawan Shorin-Ryu karate in the fall of 1982 under the tutelage of world-reknown instructor Frank Hargrove. Brian received his Shodan (1st degree black belt) on December 15, 1985. Kyoshi (expert) Frank Hargove taught and coached Brian from white belt through 3rd degree black belt. In 1991, Kyoshi Hargrove bestowed the honorific title of Shihan-Dai (Chief Instructor) of his dojo. In 1994, Brian tested and received his 4th degree black belt after testing directly under Hanshi Shuguro Nakazato, 10th degree black belt (Frank Hargrove's instructor).
In 1999, Brian and his father, Charles Hobson, opened The Brian Hobson “Tekkikan” Karate Studio.
By May 2000, Brian had earned the rank of Godan (5th degree). Four years later he tested and passed his Rokudan (6th degree). He attained Nanadan (7th degree black belt), which in 2009 from Hanshi Seiei Nakaza (Kiyobukan Association). Presently he holds the rank of Hachidan (8th degree black belt), Kyoshi, and the title of So Honbu Cho, Headquarters Director of the Okinawa Shroin Ryu Kiyobukan. He is the first American to hold this position in an Okinawa-based Karate Association.
Shihan Tomohiro Arashiro, 8th Dan
Tomohiro Arashiro was born in Nago City, Okinawa, Japan. He began studying karate in 1968 with Nakaima Kenko, grandson of Ryuei Ryu founder Nakaima Norisato. A junior high school student at the time, Arashiro and his friend Matsuda Takeshi would train at Nakaima Sensei's home for two-hour sessions, twice a week. While training on school grounds, the two boys caught the attention of the teacher Sakumoto Tsuguo, who also began to train with Nakaima Sensei. With a growing contingent of students, the Ryuei Ryu style was officially made public by Nakaima Sensei in 1971.
In 1979, after completing a degree in Physical Education at Chukyo University in Nagoya City, Aichi, Japan, Arashiro Sensei and his friend Kuniyoshi Tsutomu agreed to immigrate to the United States to teach Ryuei Ryu karate and kobudo. Their fledgling group expanded from informal gatherings in a park in San Diego, to sessions at local recreation centers and VFW halls, to a formal dojo in 1984.
Arashiro Kyoshi is currently the Pan-American Chief Instructor of Ryuei Ryu and the 3rd most senior practitioner of the style in the world.
Shihan Akirah Fukuda, 7th Dan
Sensei Fukuda was born and raised in the State of Hawaii. His father immigrated from Japan to attend University in the United States and met his mother while crossing paths in college.
Sensei Fukuda started surfing as a young boy. The warm water, the sun on his face and the smell of salty air were fond memories growing up. As time went on, his surfing skills improved Sensei Fukuda aspired to become a professional surfer. At 16 years old Sensei Fukuda moved to California and pursued this ambition.
As fate would have it, Sensei Fukuda started training with GrandMaster Kunio Miyake in California. Under SOKE Miyake he decided to pursue his dream of being a competitive martial artist. Sensei Fukuda was very successful at karate competitions and set many records. Today, together with his wife Sensei Nicole, Sensei Fukuda runs a very successful Karate Dojo producing many winning athletes. In addition, he is also the USA National Karate Head Kata Coach for the USA Karate National Team.
Later in life Sensei Fukuda discovered that he comes from a Samurai lineage that was part of the aristocratic structure in Japan. Martial arts training has been the foundation of the Fukuda lineage for generations.

Shihan Marques McCammon, 6th Dan
Shihan McCammon began his study of traditional Okinawan Shorin-ryu karate and weaponry more than 30 years ago, now Hanshi, (Grandmaster), Frank Hargrove. In 2013, McCammon was promoted to 5th Degree Black Belt and Renshi (High Teacher) by the late Seiei Nakaza, Hanshi, 10th Degree Black Belt founder of the Okinawa Shorin Ryu Kiyobukan. In 2019, he received his Shihan (Master Teacher License) from Hanshi 9th Degree Black Belt, Brian Hobson, Headquarters Director and heir to the Kiyobukan. McCammon Serves as the Vice-Director of the Kiyobukan is a Level III coach with the USA National Karate Federation, and US Regional Referee.
