Solid waste management is undertaken by different stakeholders within the district. The Local Authority undertakes solid waste collection in public places while SMEs and cooperatives have been engaged to undertake the activity in residential areas. Among the areas covered are residential areas, markets, bus stations, shops, industrial and Central Business District.
