1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kitchen Compass and its services.
Kitchen Compass is operated by the developer/operator of Kitchen Compass. By accessing or using Kitchen Compass, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms apply to the Kitchen Compass v1.0 application and its authenticated features.
2. PERMITTED USE
You may use Kitchen Compass for personal purposes, including:
• Personal meal planning and recipe discovery.
• Creating and managing shopping lists.
• Saving recipes and shopping lists to your account.
• Discovering nearby grocery stores using ZIP code information.
• Using other functionality made available through Kitchen Compass.
3. PROHIBITED USE
You may not:
• Use automated methods to scrape or bulk-extract Kitchen Compass data.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Attempt to bypass, interfere with, reverse-engineer, or compromise the security or operation of Kitchen Compass.
• Use Kitchen Compass to transmit unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive content.
• Misuse Kitchen Compass support services.
• Attempt to disable or circumvent safety or operational controls.
• Resell or redistribute Kitchen Compass content as a competing service.
• Use Kitchen Compass in violation of applicable law.
4. PRICING, RECIPES, STORE INFORMATION, AND DISCLAIMERS
PRICING
Prices displayed by Kitchen Compass are estimates.
Kitchen Compass v1.0 does not provide live retailer pricing. Actual prices may vary by store, location, date, promotions, availability, taxes, substitutions, and other factors.
Users should verify actual prices with the applicable retailer before making purchasing decisions.
RECIPES AND MEAL INFORMATION
Recipe suggestions and meal-planning information provided through Kitchen Compass are intended for general informational and meal-planning purposes.
They do not constitute medical, dietary, nutritional, or other professional advice.
Users are responsible for considering their own dietary requirements, allergies, food sensitivities, preparation methods, food safety requirements, and other individual circumstances.
STORE INFORMATION
Store discovery and related information may depend on third-party data and may occasionally be unavailable, incomplete, or inaccurate.
GENERAL DISCLAIMER
Kitchen Compass is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties except those that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Availability may depend on platform services, internet connectivity, third-party services, and other systems outside the operator's control.
5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer/operator of Kitchen Compass will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from or related to use of Kitchen Compass.
Kitchen Compass is not responsible for differences between estimated and actual store prices, ingredient availability, retailer information, substitutions, or the outcome of recipes or meal preparation.
Any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited remains subject to applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
6. ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITIES
You are responsible for:
• Maintaining accurate account information.
• Keeping your account credentials secure.
• Activity occurring through your account.
• Not sharing or improperly transferring access to your account.
• Using Kitchen Compass in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

7. TERMINATION AND ACCOUNT DELETION
You may stop using Kitchen Compass at any time.
You may initiate permanent account deletion through:

Kitchen Compass may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of:
• A violation of these Terms.
• Unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive activity.
• Attempts to compromise the security or operation of Kitchen Compass.
• Legal or regulatory requirements.
• Protection of Kitchen Compass, its users, or third parties.
• Discontinuation of Kitchen Compass or relevant services.
Notice will be provided where reasonably appropriate or required by applicable law.
Suspension and termination are subject to rights and requirements that cannot be waived under applicable law.
8. PRIVACY
Use of Kitchen Compass is also subject to the Kitchen Compass Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains the categories of information Kitchen Compass processes, the purposes for which information is used, third-party services involved in providing the app, user rights, and account deletion.
9. DATA RETENTION
Kitchen Compass retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, fulfill the purposes described in the Privacy Policy, comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and meet legitimate operational requirements.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary for those purposes, it will be deleted or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable requirements.
The in-app account-deletion process governs deletion of user-owned information covered by that process.
10. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
These Terms may be updated when reasonably necessary to reflect changes to Kitchen Compass, legal requirements, security practices, or operational practices.
When these Terms are updated, the "Last Updated" date will be revised as appropriate.
Continued use of Kitchen Compass following an applicable update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
11. APPLICABLE LAW
These Terms and your use of Kitchen Compass are subject to applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict consumer protections, privacy rights, or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.
