Soli Deo Gloria! Hallelujah!
Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household (Acts 16 : 31)
Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household (Acts 16 : 31)
We, who were created in the image of God, began our lives in Eden, a place of abundant nature created by the Lord. However, due to Adam's original sin, humanity was cast out of Eden, distanced from God, and forced to live in a world of toil and hardship (Genesis 3:17). Now, in the 21st century, we find ourselves confined within vast structures of concrete and asphalt, living in crowded cities where we hardly even know who our neighbors are. Nature, which once revealed the essence of creation, has been replaced by artificial plants for convenience, and sunlight has long since disappeared from our buildings, overtaken by artificial light.
Once beings who lived in God's love in Eden, we have now become people who have forgotten love, struggling amid numerous inexplicable diseases. In a world where it has become difficult to seek God, it seems natural for people to live as though they themselves are the masters of their lives. People assert their rights more aggressively, and unrestrained anger is increasingly expressed without inhibition. Like in the days of the Judges, instead of controlling our anger or managing stress, we seem more eager to point out each other's wrongdoings, express rage, and seek vengeance.
The Bible reminds us: "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse" (Romans 1:20). Wouldn't people be more likely to seek God if they could draw closer to the 'nature' of His creation and experience its beauty? As Scripture says, "Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them" (John 7:38). As the number of people living lives bearing the fruits of the Spirit increases, this world will be transformed—anger will give way to love, and despair will be replaced by hope.
I believe the greatest love we, as creatures, can show one another is to reveal the Creator God and share His love. I hope that, regardless of one's status or position, everyone living in the city can experience the beauty of nature, imbued with the essence of God's creation. Through that experience, may they come to discover the Creator Himself. With this vision in mind, I will press on with the Lord, who makes a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, running toward expanding His kingdom and righteousness.
