KIS LIBRARY RULES

Library Mission Statement

KIS library caters for KIS students and staff helping them to excel in their learning and teaching.

It supports them by providing materials (books and other media) and services (check-outs, lectures, information about collection, e-guides, curation of material, information services, research support, etc.).

Library is a safe and inclusive space for the school community that fosters self-study, literacy, inquiry and a fair access to information.

General Rules

πŸ‘ Please respect the library and the other library users: library is quiet space facilitating self-study and quiet reading. (Exception: library classes taking place. A schedule of library classes is posted on the door). Treat the library space and material gently so that it may serve many other users.

πŸ‘ Users are not allowed to bring food or drink to the library except clean water.

πŸ‘ Please switch off your mobile devices or put them on silent.

πŸ‘ Keep your school bags out of the way where people may trip over them.

πŸ‘ Only take out material that has been issued by library staff. Return material into our return box by the entrance.

πŸ‘ Patrons with overdue loans or unresolved issues will not be allowed further book check-outs until they resolve their issues.

πŸ‘ In the library, as in the whole school, we treat each other with respect, politeness, and kindness.

Any member of the KIS community (such as student, parent, staff) may become a member by registering in the library. Registration is free of charge.
