Kirsten L. Crooks

About Me: 

I got my BA in Ancient Greek and Latin from Boston University in 2009, then my Master’s in Education with a concentration on teaching a world language in the secondary classroom from Temple University in 2015, and a post-baccalaureate from the University of Kentucky in Latin Studies in 2021. I have been a high school Latin teacher for 12 years, and I have experience in private, charter, and public education in and around Philadelphia. 

Purpose of the e-Portfolio:

Per the project assignment, "[t]he Master’s e-Portfolio represents the assessment used instead of a comprehensive exam for the UTRGV Educational Technology graduate program. The electronic portfolio, or e-Portfolio, reflects progress and growth over time. Each student will select, review, evaluate, and show works that reflect the achievement of six professional responsibilities addressed in the M.Ed. program." 

Organization:

Use the navigation bar at the top of the site to find information about me and my journey through the UTRGV Educational Technology M.Ed program. My reflection goes more in depth, as to who I am personally and professionaly and explains my vocational goals. The Matrix and Courses Taken pages explain the program itself and my work in it. The Leadership page shows my professional certifications, credentials earned, membership in professional organizations, subscriptions to professional listservs, professional reading list, professional development and training, social media networking, and contributions to the profession.
