Running at UMass Map Design

The original premise for this project was to create an infographic sort of design on Adobe InDesign, and I wanted to include my passion for running in it. I had a difficult time determining where to run on the UMass campus as a freshman when I wanted to make sure I was staying close to campus—where I felt safest. There were three main objectives for this design:

1. Displaying the main and accessible running routes on or nearby the UMass campus.

2. Showing the elevation changes on each route.

3. Communicating the boundaries of the UMass and Amherst College campuses—so that the runner knows where they can find blue lights (in case of emergency).
