Kereru feather pressed porcelain earrings with platinum lustre and .925 sterling silver hooks.
Each piece of Kiri Booth Design jewellery is individually handmade in New Zealand using porcelain, sterling silver, and carefully selected high-quality materials.
Inspired by New Zealand's native flora and birdlife, every design begins as a handmade ceramic form, shaped and refined by hand in Kiri's studio. The work is predominantly one-of-a-kind, with no two pieces ever exactly the same.
Creating each piece is a slow and detailed process. The porcelain is formed, dried, fired, glazed, and fired again before being carefully hand-painted with genuine 24-carat gold lustre or platinum. A final firing completes the process, bringing out the rich metallic finish and durability of the piece.
In total, each piece is fired three times, reaching temperatures of up to 1200°C. This labour-intensive process results in jewellery that is lightweight, durable, and beautifully unique — designed to be treasured for years to come.
One-off
Much of Kiri's work is unique and one off. Each piece fired 3 times to 1200c.
Kiri uses porcelain she makes herself coupled with hooks hand bent and made of .925 Sterling Silver.
The luster coating on her work is platinum or 24c gold. And each handbent wire is 925 Solid Sterling Silver.
