My ceramic jewellery is individual, original and handmade at home in my studio here in New Zealand.
I studied Fine Arts at the Otago school of fine art, majoring in Ceramics, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1998.
I have always had a passion for creating, and after having travelled for 10 years found a longing to return home to where I belong.
That sense of belonging to the land is my inspiration; you can feel so much of the land here. When I drive out of my home, we have Kereru and bird call echoing around our home, and the sound of the waves in the background from the beach at St Clair.
Fortunately my studio has a great big window looking out onto Ponga ferns and I watch winter and summer as it rains and shines, and do my work.
