Teaching-related Activities

Cirriculum Development

I actively contribute to curriculum development initiatives, collaborating with colleagues to update and enhance course content and learning outcomes. I integrate innovative teaching strategies, such as Vevox and Kahoot methods, to promote student engagement and relevance. As a member of the residency committee, I implement an Artificial Intelligence competency evaluation system and contribute to the redesign of radiology/imaging modules. I have also developed the first MCQs bank for On Job Trainee Radiographers and designed comprehensive training programs for pediatric radiology fellows. My goal is to provide students with a high-quality education that prepares them for successful careers in radiology.

Teaching on various platforms

My contributions to pediatric imaging and neuroimaging have earned me multiple accolades. As a representative on the scientific committee of The Society of Pediatric Neuroimaging (SPIN), I am dedicated to fostering education, collaboration, and research in this field globally. My leadership skills have been showcased through national-level workshops on pediatric radiology and the organization of the first-ever virtual radiology International Teaching Network from the Radiological Society platform. In addition, I spearheaded the inaugural virtual mock examinations for the FCPS Part 2 exam at the national level, providing invaluable preparation opportunities for radiology trainees across Pakistan. Lastly, I proudly represented AKUH at the International Pediatric Neuroradiology Teaching Network (IPNTN 2023, American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology), playing a crucial role in advancing pediatric neuroradiology on a global scale.

Colloborative Teaching Efforts

I actively contribute to the advancement of teaching and learning through my participation in departmental and institutional committees. As a valued member of the BMGF Neuroimaging Partners Consortium and the AKU-MC alumni association Pakistan executive committee, I represent Pakistan and contribute to impactful initiatives. Within AKU, I serve on key committees such as PGME induction, curriculum, and the Radiology Department education enhancement group. Additionally, I hold leadership roles as the coordinator for the year II head and neck module committee and the Residency Associate Program Director. Beyond AKU, I have been elected as a counsellor for the Sindh Radiological Society of Pakistan and previously served as the Joint Secretary of the Radiological Society of Pakistan. Through my collaborative efforts, I have created platforms for knowledge sharing and professional development, benefiting radiologists nationwide. My active engagement in professional service showcases my dedication to advancing the field and fostering collaboration among peers.
