I am currently working as a Speech Scientist at Cerence GmbH in Germany.
I submitted my PhD at University of Oslo, titled A uniform account of agreement and information structure: A case study of Surati Gujarati. I'm mainly interested in using my linguistic expertise to solve problems in computational linguistics, natural language processing/understanding/reasoning.
My theoretical research interests are in the areas of verbal morphosyntax and syntax-prosody interface:
Agreement and information structure in causative predicates in Surati Gujarati.
Agreement on negation and contrastive focus
Exhaustive movement and Exhaustive tone: a syntax-prosody interface study of Gujarati (With Sameer ud dowla Khan)
Outside of linguistics, I enjoy reading, traveling, and hiking, singing, watching movies in theaters, and playing Table tennis
