Wednesday 14th January, 2 pm: "Victorian Culinary Delights ~ extravagant, meagre, or deadly?" A talk by Dr Judith Hill, freelance lecturer and researcher.
“In the Victorian era, all classes based their diets on what was grown throughout the different seasons, with the wealthier people supplementing their diet with more expensive food items. There was also a difference between what rural people and urban dwellers ate” (Shona Parker, 2020).

Thursday 12th February, 2pm: “Magna Carta, Runnymede and all that”, a talk by Mike Page, County Archivist at Surrey History Centre.
This illustrated talk will explore the background to the Magna Carta, what happened
afterwards and the later histories of the great charter and the place where it
happened.

Thursday 5th March: Lunch at Wetherspoons "Kings Tun", opposite Kingston Station. Details to follow.
Friday 20th March, 2pm: "Swimming in Suburbia", a talk by Lesley North, actress, poet and writer. The theme of Suburbia through a compilation of poems and prose, taking a wry look at family life, food, snobberies, aspirations and all things suburban.
Friday 10th April: "The History of Electricity", a talk by Stephen Fielding from Habitats & Heritage about Kingston Power Station.
Thursday 23rd April, 2pm: "The Art of Laundry", a talk by Nick Higham.
Thursday 7th May: "Why we celebrate May Day", a talk by Julian McCarthy.
