KINGS OF LESOTHO seeks to preserve the history and heritage of the Basotho nation while presenting that history in a format that is relevant to contemporary audiences.

The project seeks to make Basotho history:

Preserved for future generations.

Accessible to the public.

Experienced through immersive technology.

Shared beyond Lesotho.

The project recognises the importance of the royal succession as part of the history and heritage of the Kingdom of Lesotho.

By using contemporary immersive technology, the project creates a new format through which this history can be experienced and shared.

It also provides an opportunity to make Lesotho's history accessible to people beyond the traditional spaces in which history is normally presented.

 EDUCATION

HISTORY THROUGH IMMERSIVE STORYTELLING

KINGS OF LESOTHO is undertaken for educational purposes.

The free exhibition provides an opportunity for members of the public, students, young people, cultural practitioners and visitors to experience Lesotho's royal history through immersive technology.

The project provides a contemporary educational experience while remaining connected to historical research and cultural heritage.
