The A Little Lawn Music concert series was organized as a response to the pandemic of Covid-19. Musicians in St. Louis suddenly found themselves without work and a place to perform their art, and audiences were left without a venue to hear live music. Kingsbury Ensemble's director, Maryse Carlin, along with Kingsbury Ensemble member Amy Greenhalgh, used the summer months in St. Louis to invite musicians of all genres to perform on the front lawns of houses in Compton Heights, MO 63104.
The audience came from all over St. Louis, with their lawn chairs and masks, to support and enjoy our wonderful, local musicians. The concert series was so popular that A Little Lawn Music was invited back again in 2021. We continue to be overwhelmed and grateful for the support of our community, and the support of our wonderful hosts whose front lawns and harmonizing cicadas have provided a perfect stage.
