A monthly cavalcade of comedians, musicians, community leaders featuring performances, interviews, games shows, and more all taped in a southeast Portland bar that I created, hosted, and produced.
The podcast began when a friend, helping me grieve the loss of my mother in 2017, suggested that I 'get out more'. I heard that as 'start a podcast in a bar'! The podcast ended in 2020 with start of the pandemic. A short lived, but very beloved project.
I met so many wonderful people on stage and in the audience. From a Chair of the Oregon Working Families Party to a Gresham City Councilor, from a vegan meal delivery entrepreneur for sex workers to a Grammy award winning singer-songwriter. All local. All part of what makes up My Real Portland.

My Grandma moved to Portland in 1942 to attend school, and took some photos in and around her old apartment. She thought the building was 'long gone' but I found it in 2016!
A lifelong genealogist, I grew up listening to stories from my Grandma about her childhood, her parents, her grandparents, and more. It was important for me to capture her memories she shared. Through photos, stories, diary entries, and other artifacts, I've been able to share her legacy with my nieces and nephews, along with local libraries and museums.

Formerly a volunteer crew leader with Metro Parks and Greenspaces, I'm now an avid worker with Trailkeepers of Oregon.
You may find me using a 6 foot crosscut saw on a downed log across the Clackamas River Trail 20 miles east of Estacada, hauling rocks at the Bird Alliance of Oregon nestled in NW Portland, or repairing fire-damaged trails at Shellberg Falls in Marion County. Always working with three core values: Safety, Fun, then Service.

As a child every Memorial Day I'd travel to the family cemetery with my Grandma to clean and decorate her parents and our other relative's gravesites. After a nearby cemetery had damage to 43 tombstones, I rallied the neighborhood and began the Friends of Lone Fir Cemetery, then became Director of the Oregon Historic Cemeteries Association.

I accidentally became a coach. Once upon a time, feeling 'stuck' in a job I loved with little growth opportunities, I hired a coach to help. Eventually we co-created a strategy for me to get the next job I wanted - managing a Meals-on-Wheels center in my neighborhood.
My coach, Bill, was amazing. I wanted to learn what he had done so that I could help others with those same tools and skills. An intensive 2 year program with the Fearless Living Institute along with hundreds of hours of coaching practice taught me very simple communication skills to help people become their best selves.
I became President of the local professional coach association and aligned its organizational structure with the International Coaching Federation. I also led a movement within the Fearless Living Institute to align its curriculum to ICF standards.
I led a group of fellow Fearless Living coaches to promote our program at an annual coaching convention in Long Beach, California.
Study was with a cohort of students from across the US before video conferencing. Here we gathered for a workshop in Denver, Colorado. One later moved to Portland and hired me as her Realtor!
For 11 years as a Realtor, I helped home buyers and sellers in every pocket of Portland and across the region. I've developed hundreds of print and web publications with professional photographs and well-crafted narratives to market homes and a NW Portland boutique brokerage.
