Issue #1: Welcome!

Today we are proud to announce that we have created the Betelgeusan Public News Network (BPNN), giving you the latest micronational news straight from Friendship City! We've considered doing this for a while, but now we've settled that we'll do it. This section is short on this first issue, but you can expect this part to be longer in the future.

THE JUDEAN WAR

Although a ceasefire between Judea and Abuaddis has been established, the latter is still ravaging occupied territories in the area, including Sirena. Also, Abuaddis is backed by Jaylish, one of the worst micronations in existence. (known for racism, and support for Nazis).

PUERTORIA AND PENGUINIA

Recently, a micronation known as Penguinia declared war on Puertoria and "captured" Marie Byrd Land. The nation also made AI brainrot that can't actually hurt anyone's feelings. This is not a war, just silly play that lasts weeks.

LANG'S SITUATION: WHAT NOW?

Since June 2025, Sonja Lang, the creator of the constructed language Toki Pona, has been conflicting with many Toki Pona community members. According to these members, she may be experiencing psychosis, although they are not experts on the subject. As a result, the community has removed her from the Sitelen Pona Publishers and Typographers Association and created the tokipona.net website. Although we still recommend most of her books, we will temporarily reccomend tokipona.net over her website, tokipona.org. Also, we implore that you avoid talking to her until she recovers, if at all. If this situation continues or worsens, we may make a full issue about it.
