Oct 23 - Hello, my name is Alma Windsor the great, great, great granddaughter of Alastor Windsor. He was a grand master wizard way before I was born. It’s because of him that I inherited the ability to wheeled magic. Here is Valeria I should not be able to have suck abilities as its for the monarches and the nobles those who have many shillings were as I have but a few. I earn my rations though tending to livestock at a near by farm. I also am an artisan of sorts has I needlepoint the towns peoples garments. My steady hand is partly through practice and for the finer patterns I use my wand. It was the wand that has been passed down to me through the family line. If the king was aware it would not be mine right now, but I was able to salvage it before the church officials ransacked my grandfathers tower when he passed. It was only through the nursery rhymes that my mother would tell me that knew he existed and where I would find the enchanted chest hidden behind the photo of him. It was with the ambulate that my mother gave me that I was able to break the enchantment and take what was rightfully mine just seconds before the officials stormed in. I am keeping these accounts so that there is record of our linage as currently no soul is aware of my relation to Alastor and for my safety, I hope no one finds out until I am long gone.
Oct 29- It’s been a while since I wrote last. My clothes making orders have picked up since it’s almost all hallows eve. The vale is thin these days, so people need masks and costumes to trick the spirits into thinking they are one of them. I am terrible at mask making so I have been using my wand a lot lately. I feel unease when I use my magic in access as I fear my secrecy will be discovered. If the king or the advisor find out I don’t know what will come of me. I must run I have another five orders to complete before nightfall.
Oct 31- Today is the say. I am really not amused of the antics of the non magics today. They claim to be warding off the spirits with the tricks, but I think it’s an excuse to miss behave. On days like these I close for orders and let the livestock be they will fare for one day. I would be lonely in my hut with nothing to do and no one to talk to but I have the company of Fran my cat. She is a cat but also my familiar, she is a cheeky one but protects me and at times like these keeps me company. I don’t know how old she is, but I am sure she is ancient. When I retrieved the wand from my grandfather Alabaster’s house she followed me home. I tried putting her outside hundreds of times, but she would always reappear right behind me like she has magic of her own. I stop trying to rid of her and just allow her to stay. She has made her space in the corner of my bed and that is where she rest most the day. Quietly taking it all in and I presume judging me. None the less I am glad she is here on spiritual holidays as nothing even tries to enter my home while she I in it.
Nov 12- I haven’t written in a while as my life has taken a turn of events. I was going through my old papers with my free time on all Hallows eve. I discovered a very old scribe I presume belonged to my great great great grandfather. It had a plethora of ancient spells an enchantment. I study and practiced them intensely and gain much knowledge but the one charm that held the most value was that of disguise! It’s a charm that allows me to look how every I so desire. I have perfected my image and have clocked myself as a tall burly man with dark hair and an uncanning resemblance of my great great great grandfather. Although Alastor was well known in his time he is not spoken about as often now and the only depiction of him are the portraits sieved by the church officials. I used my memory of this to create my design but made enough changes where its not identical. I tested my charm by going to the local market. No one knew me but most of the maidens fawned over me which made them look quite fopdoodle. It did prove though that my charm was successful my next step was to infiltrate the royal advisor. If the charm will allow it I may stay in disgues indefentaly and I shall go by the name Almar.
