The Kingdom of Valoria has existed for over 400 years, built off the backs of powerful mages who wished to free themselves from the magical censorship of other lands. The capitol city became the worlds foremost hub of magic materials and brought in mages from around the continent. Within a century, Valoria rose to become a political and military superpower amongst the neighboring regions. Valoria's magical supremacy made it nearly unmatched in both power and way of life.
The entire kingdom is built around the capitol city. The city is decorated with ornate structures, large buildings capped with large domes made of blue marble. The city surrounds a river connecting it to the rest of the kingdom, allowing for immense amounts of wealth to flood the streets and allows bigger and better structures to continue being built.
The central district is known for containing the highest quality shops, private libraries, and bathhouses. There are large communities of merchants that set up temporary shops around the ports to make a fortune trading with foreign travelers who were able to afford the trip to the capitol.
The middle district is home to various mages, merchants, and government workers. It supports a wealth of entertainment and guilds. These guilds provide an ideal location to train new minds in many skills and gives both mages and merchants opportunities to apply their trades.
The outer district is the location of temporary housing for employed workers and other individuals.

The Kingdom of Valoria has been ruled by a royal family since its inception. The first king was a great archmage that is known for carving out the central river with his powerful control over mana and knowledge of matrices. Roughly 200 years ago, the land controlled by the kingdom had grown too vast for a centralized government that resided in a single location. In response, four lords were given authority to enact the king's commands in various locations around the kingdom. While they reside in other cities located in the cardinal directions from the capitol, they visit quite often for meetings with the king and his advisor to discuss the future of the kingdom. Many nobles reside across the kingdom and possess limited authority over the common people, but they all are under the authority of the lords and the king himself.
