Reading

We are starting our new reading program. I had planned on starting it when we got back from Spring Break, so here we go. It will run like this – you read a book until you think you know the story pretty well. Then you log on to our classroom site and under the reading tab find the reading tests. Each test has three multiple choice questions about the story. Once you answer the questions, click submit. If you get the questions right, you can move on the next book. I’ve started by sending three books home. I gave you enough books that you could do one story a day, but that is not required. I want you to be able to take your time with these books and make sure you are comfortable reading them before you take the test and move to the next book.

This is great practice for the AR program that you will start in 1^st grade.

Sight Words: You have a new set of sight words. Read through them every day (all 10).
