A friend of mine, who teaches Pilates, recently completed the Understanding Lipoedema CPD that I wrote.
Afterwards, I asked her what she thought. She told me she'd booked an appointment with her GP.
Concerned and a bit bemused I asked why. Turns out she had recognised herself in the learning. It had given her the language to describe something that had puzzled her for years. She realised she might have lymphoedema.
With a huge sigh of relief, she finally felt able to explain what she'd been experiencing and see that it was real.
And now she has all those words to help her clients too. Which makes me feel proud, of her, the CPD and dare I say it - of me.
