2026.06 - 2026.08 For nearly two months, Sanjay Karthik, an undergraduate research intern at KIMSLAB, participated in the NSF-IRES Hydrogen Ship Technology Center (HSTC) Scholars Program in Busan, South Korea π’βοΈ
During his research stay, Sanjay collaborated with researchers at Pusan National University to investigate advanced multilayer insulation (MLI) incorporating glass microspheres, a promising approach for enhancing the structural and thermal performance of cryogenic insulation systems for onboard cryogenic liquid storage.
We are excited to see Sanjay gain valuable international research experience while contributing to emerging technologies at the intersection of cryogenic engineering, hydrogen transportation, and maritime energy systems. Congratulations on a productive summer research experience! π

2026.04.24 (FRI) Yusin, our new PhD student, attended KSME Thermal Engineering Division Conference, held at Jeju Island, South Korea. Yusin presented our recent investigation on Machine Learning Coupled Interfacial Phase Change Model for Two-phase Film Boiling Simulations. He made KIMSLAB very proud! Go Space Gatorsππ
