25-26 Book Project Deadlines
Quarter 1: Friday, September 26th
Quarter 2: Friday, December 12th
Quarter 3: Friday, February 27th
Quarter 4: Friday, May 1st
Projects not turned in by their deadlines will receive no higher than a 59%. Late projects will not be not accepted past the following Monday by 1:00pm.

Daily (Monday-Thursday): 25 minutes**
Quarterly: 1 whole novel (independently)*
*all requirements listed are minimums
**daily reading is expected to be completed in addition to other homework, Monday-Thursday

Independent Book Choice Guidelines
When choosing a book to read during quarterly independent reading, students should pick a book that:
they will enjoy (that IS the point of reading)
they have never read before
is at or near their reading level
HINT: Read 2 pages of the book. If you know every word easily, the book may be too easy. If you don't know more than five words, the book may be too difficult.
