We are incredibly proud to celebrate a fantastic group of young players who have been representing our club at county level across a range of sports. Their efforts, commitment and talent have truly put our club on the map this season.
It has been an especially exciting time for our U14 players.
Isobel and Kelly travelled all the way to Barcelona with the Cork U14 Basketball Team, where they played in, and won, the Globasket Tournament. An amazing achievement on an international stage and a trip they won’t forget.
Aoibhín lined out with Cork Camogie, helping the team overcome Clare in the Munster Final, a superb performance on a big occasion.
Johannah played with the Cork U14 B team, who claimed victory in the Johnny Hayes A Platinum Final against Limerick.
Johannah’s great season didn’t stop there, she has also been selected to represent Cork U14 Camogie, alongside Sarah, another well‑deserved honour for both players.
We were also thrilled to see Ellen from our U13 team take to the field recently, lining out with Cork Primary Schools at half time during the Cork v Limerick match. A brilliant experience and a proud moment for Ellen, her family and the club.
Congratulations to all of these players, and to their coaches and families who support them every step of the way. We love seeing our members enjoying their sport, growing in confidence and representing the club so proudly. Here’s to many more great moments ahead! 🏆💙
If you have a player or coach achievement you’d like to see featured in the newsletter, please send the details to kilshannig.cork@lgfa.ie.
We would like to sincerely thank Cork County Council for their support through the Community Fund Scheme 2025.
Thanks to this funding, the club has been able to purchase new footballs, bibs, poles and hurdles, benefiting teams across all age groups — from our U6s right up to Junior level. This support makes a real difference to the day‑to‑day running of the club and helps ensure our players can train and develop in a safe, positive and well‑equipped environment.
It’s fantastic to see investment like this going directly back into the community and supporting grassroots sport. We are very grateful to Cork County Council for their continued support. #CorkCoCoCommunityFund
