April 30, 2025 - Beth McDermott from the The Norwich Bulletin recaps an incredible season from an Excellence Award (highest honor in VEX Robotics) in London, England to three Killingly Robotics teams SWEEPING the US National Robotics Open Championship, taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, the 2025 season has been amazing!

February 26, 2024 - Killingly Robotics Team 78889S qualified for the World Robotics Championship by winning the Innovate Award at the Southern New England Championship at the Total Mortgage Arena!  Check out their EXPERIENCE!

March 16, 2023 - Melanie Savage from the Hartford Courant met with the team for over 2 hours to interview each member and discuss their acheivements over the past three years, including their recent win in Japan and World Championship Engineering Design wins in 2021 and 2022!

March 9, 2023 - Fox 61's own Keith McGillvery visited Killingly high school and experienced a day in the life of Killingly Robotics students preparing for their next adventure fresh off a very successful international trip to Tokyo, Japan where the team won the Engineering Design Award as well as "best dressed" robotics team!

February 3, 2023 - Boston Dynamics' "Spot" visited the Killingly High School robotics classes and students were able to not only learn about the future of robotics and possible careers, they were able to control the robot and get an up close and personal experience during this job shadow!

Only 81 days until 30 members of the Killingly High School Robotics team travels to Tokyo, Japan to compete with 2 of our teams (78889M & 78889K)!

November 6, 2021 - The Killingly Robotics team is off to a very strong start this season taking first place once again!

June 2, 2021 - Read the great article in The Bulletin chronicaling the adventures of the senior robotics team, 78889A, as they battled Covid-19 and were able to overcome some of education's most significant challenges.  From distance learning to only meeting one time in person the entire year, this team is something special!

December 20, 2021 - In their first year as a team, the KHS Robotics team won the Engineering Design Award at the World Robotics Championship in Dallas, Texas!  13,000 teams competed this year (down from 24,000 last year). Most impressive is that the team mastered virtual learning this year, through the COVID-19 pandemic, as they only met 1 single time in person in late November. The KHS Robotics team won their first ever Southern New England Regional Engineering Design Award this year and are headed to the World Robotics (Virtual Remote) Championship in May!
