February 6, 2025 - Killingly Robotics Junior Team, 78889W, wins the highest honor in VEX Robotics, the Excellence Award and this time they earned this accolade "across the pond" in London, England! Only 3 American teams competed, all from Killingly, Connecticut and included seniors, juniors, sophomores, and freshmen! Both our junior and freshmen teams made it all the way to the semi finals, with the juniors winning tournament finalists!
The team again appeared very professional in their uniforms, which included a "limited edition" London version featuring the Houses of Parliment, most commonly reffered to as "Big Ben," and the United Kingdom union jack. These special uniforms were designed by our own junior Samantha Bourque and included all of our generous sponsors, including our ELITE donor, SPIROL, who made this incredible adventure possible!
