Workplace Health and Safety Policy
Problem- Gloves melt in heat of BBQ
Procedural Solution-
Cook should not touch money.
Person preparing food to wear gloves and needs to wash hands frequently.
Cooks should wash hands more frequently but need not wear gloves.
Cakes should be served with tongs and tongs put in paper bags after use to prevent contamination.
Tongs to be kept in sterile environment.
Leonie Williamson of Council has not contacted the group yet about gazebos and toilets.
Grant for early march to be written for demountable toilet if approved by Council.

Signage needs to be looked at and approaches made to Leonie Williamson about using existing council posts.

Workplace Health and Safety Policy
Draft of operating guidelines for the markets- covers the responsibily of management and volunteers, smoking, electrical hazards, gas, Fire, parking, first aid and bomb threats.
Nadia Bannerman from Gympie Council contacted David Timperley about food handling. She is sending us brochures about food handling
Food handlers must wear gloves. Money collectors must not touch food
Allison to bring volunteers up to speed on food handling.

Motion by David Timperley- that food prices to be increased at discretion of Treasurer/acting treasurer.
