My name is Kihyon Kim, and I am a Research Professor at Korea University Business School, currently visiting Hoffman Center for Business Ethics (HCBE) at Bentley University as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar.

Drawing on my field experience in developing businesses in Asian and African countries as a governmental aid worker, my research explores behavioral ethics, with a particular focus on citizen movements, corporate activism and hypocrisy, and virtue ethics.

My motivation for visiting HCBE is to deepen my understanding of business ethics and bring these insights back to business schools in Korea.

While I have integrated ethical perspectives into my teaching of core marketing courses in Korea, I see a growing need for more dedicated business ethics courses and deeper classroom discussions.

I am currently developing business ethics curricula and content to help shape Korea’s future business leaders. I hope that what I learn at HCBE will allow me to enrich the learning experience for Korean students through interdisciplinary and theory-based approaches.
