His parents influence on his writing still affects his books, as his dad inspired Morris' humour and his mum was the source of his neatness. He accepts interviews with a lot of humour and often gives extremely ambiguous but hilarious answers. He lately released a book Digging Up Dad and Other Hopeful (and Funny) Stories and and bit earlier penned Always to wrap up the heartwarming Once series. However Gleitzman has already secured his legacy as one of Australia's funniest authors.
