Career

Morris went through a bunch of part time jobs that had varying degrees of success, he worked in many shops and department stores, and even notably dressed up as Santa! Eventually Morris got his Degree in Professional Writing in Canberra and started his amazing writing career. Not only is he an extremely successful children's novelist but he is a columnist for multiple newspapers and has written a select few screenplays. He was selected as the Australian Children's Writing Laureate and among those awards all of his books have been shortlisted or won an award around the world. However he says that the awards that he treasures most are the oes that are voted for by the readers, like his Yabba Awrad and KOALA award.
