WHY FUNDRAISE FOR THE RAINBOW RUN IN SUPPORT OF YOUR KIDS CLUB?

This is a question we get asked, so we thought we would share!

Kids Club is a labour of love run by Indoor Play Labrador Incorporated, a registered non-profit. In 2019, a small group of volunteers set out to fill a gap for young families in Labrador West (another Jenny & Sonja wild idea)!

Between April 2019 and March 2020, volunteers raised nearly $250,000 to get Kids Club up and running - thanks to our awesome communities supporting our fundraisers and, of course, generous corporate sponsors who believed in the idea of Kids Club before it was a reality. One of the first on deck was Steve Hawco and his Carol Lake Metal Works family. We are forever grateful for your early support and for your unwavering support since.

So, to make a longgggg story short, all funds raised during the Rainbow Run go directly towards the operational costs of keeping your Kids Club a safe, fun place to play.

Oh, and one last thing, a HUGE thank you to everyone who gives so freely of their time, their energy and their support to make sure Labrador West's kids have more opportunities to learn, grow and play! Special shoutout to our board, you are truly the dream team!

WHOW DO I GET STARTED?

Each year, we challenge all our runners to get out and fundraise like crazy to support your Kids Club! Be creative! There will be awesome prizes for the winners, and we will reveal our fundraising winners at the end of race day!

You can use the sheet below to keep track of your donations. If you plan to take a letter to your workplace or elsewhere to assist with your fundraising efforts, you can email us the details. We would be happy to provide a letter for you, but please note that corporate donations will not be included in your individual fundraising totals. But we will recognize these additional donations for winners on our socials.

LOOKING FOR SOME FUNDRAISING IDEAS?

In past years, we have seen lemonade stands, door-to-door visits to neighbours, family and friends, babysitting, lawn mowing, bake sales, a "kid art" auction, and dog walking, just to name a few. Visit our Facebook page for a "highlight reel" of some ideas that were shared with us.

We are SO excited to see which creative fundraiser makes the most money in 2026!

We're bringing back our popular fundraising tiers again this year to keep the momentum going and reward our amazing runners for their efforts! As always, the more you raise, the more fun and colourful gear you'll earn to wear on race day! Check out some of our past winners!

PLEASE READ THE FUNDRAISING TIERS CAREFULLY!

Individual tiers apply to each runner, not to a household (except our Parents and Tots category). Parents and Tots register as a family and will be treated as a single fundraising unit.

So what does this mean for the rest of our runners?

Even if you live in the same household, you CANNOT combine your fundraising totals in the individual category. You're riding solo on this one - every dollar you raise goes towards your own tier and race day swag.

In family fundraising tiers, EACH child gets to choose items from our Rainbow Rewards Bins!

PLEASE NOTE WHEN FUNDRAISING:

Indoor Play Labrador Inc. (Kids Club) is a registered non-profit organization and not a charity. As such, we cannot issue official donation receipts for income tax purposes. What we can do is provide a letter to document the receipt of your donation. If this is something you will require, please reach out.
