Take a Bird Walk

Birdies in the sky so high,

Feathers shimmer, catching sunlight like a pie.

Up they go, and down they swoop,

Singing silly songs in a chirpy loop.

Little beaks that peck and preen,

Finding yummy seeds, a tasty scene!

Sunflower seeds and juicy worms,

Birdie bellies never get the grumps!

Branches strong, a leafy seat,

Resting tired wings, oh so sweet.

Swinging slow, then off they prance,

Birdies love to do a silly dance!

Flapping wings and happy chirps,

Twirling around on tiny limbs.

Birdies dance the whole day through,

Sharing sunshine, me and you!

So next time you see a birdie fly,

Wave hello and watch them high.

Singing, eating, perching, fun,

Birdies make the day well-done!

Challenge

Grab your favorite box of crayons or colored pencils and head outside for an adventure. Just like a nature detective, use your eyes to search for amazing color matches everywhere you go.

Colorful Nature

A cardinal sings in a scarlet dawn,

While a bluebird's melody takes flight.

A peacock struts, tail ablaze with morn,

And a ladybug soars on wind's delight.

A flamingo dances on pink lagoon,

A zebra gallops in black and white.

A golden retriever chases moon,

And a firefly winks in starry night.

A green snake coils in dappled shade,

A hummingbird beats wings like ruby flame.

A snowy owl on silent blade,

And a tiger, striped with jungle's claim.

From ocean depths, a sapphire fin,

A scarlet macaw on rainforest bough.

A butterfly, a painted skin,

Dancing colors whisper how

Each creature wears a vibrant hue,

A brushstroke bold on nature's canvas wide.

So let us learn, both me and you,

To paint our lives with rainbow's pride.
