Cruise around the neighbourhood in style with the Razor E100 electric scooter. Boasting a chain-driven, high-torque motor, and a handy twist-grip throttle, the E100 is the perfect device for pre-teens and teens wanting to zip over to a friend’s house or head to the park. Unlike Razor’s E300S and E500S scooters–whose motors start from a standing position–the E100 requires a small manual kickoff to 3 miles per hour before starting (the rider presses a trigger to engage the motor). Once the rider is on the move, however, the electric motor ramps up to 10 miles per hour–fast enough to have fun, but not fast enough to be a menace on the street or sidewalk. And thanks to the long-life rechargeable battery, which takes about eight hours to fully charge, riders can cruise for up to 40 minutes at a stretch.
Moreover, Razor E100 is very safe to use, especially by children aged 8 and up. This particular scooter has been manufactured by Razor for younger children who wish to ride a scooter.
Now your kids can safely, quietly and effectively drive themselves with the Razor E100 Electric Scooter! Give your child the power to zip around the neighbourhood, ride to the park or visit a friend at speeds up to 10 MPH with the most trusted electric scooter on the market. The thrill of power meets cutting edge technology with this kid-sized ride. The environmentally-friendly electric power engages a super quiet chain driven motor- great for you, your kids and your neighbours! The E100 offers up to 40 minutes of continuous use and features simple, twist-grip acceleration control. Razor offers a range of electric scooters for ages eight (E100) to adult (E200 and E300).
"I bought an E100 from Amazon for my 7-year-old son about 45 days ago. I can tell you that only rain and wet roads have prevented him from riding it daily!"
"Update 20 months later: Very Happy! Still rides as fast, as long, and as strong since day 1. I've only had to put air in the front tire 2 or 3 times in 20 months of owning; no other maintenance needed. 😊"
"I LOVE this little scooter! Not going to lie--I am no 120 pound child. I weigh significantly more than that and I am still able to zip around on this scooter. Can it go up hills? No. But when you're nearly 80 lbs over the weight limit, what can you really ask for. I take this to and from work (25 minutes each way) and it has yet to die on me! It'll definitely slow down by the end of the journey, but it hasn't failed me yet."
"I purchased this scooter for my daughter's 8th birthday, and she LOVES it! She was so excited when she opened it, and, now months later, she continues to want to ride it almost daily."
This scooter is a good buy for the money, and so long as you are aware of the issues that come with it, it will make for a fun toy. My son still tells me that this scooter is the best present he has ever received! If you have the money to get the 200 or 300, I would recommend doing so as long as you’re comfortable with the increased speed/power.
