2. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: The coins I purchased were not added to my account. What should I do?

A: If you experience an issue with a purchase, please use our "Restore Purchases" feature. This function checks your App Store account for existing purchases and will credit any missing coins to your account.

To use this feature:

Navigate to the Settings tab in the app's main menu.
Tap on the Get More Coins or Coin Shop button.
On the store screen, tap the Restore Purchases button, usually located at the bottom.

Q: How many coins do the app features cost?

A: The current coin costs are as follows:

Detailed Name Search (Home Page): Each search request costs 3 coins.
Random Name Generation (Swipe Screen): Generating a new list of 10 names costs 2 coins.

Q: How can I clear my name history?

A: You can permanently delete all previously generated and viewed names from your history.

Go to the Settings tab.
Under the Data Management section, tap the Clear Name History button.
Confirm the action in the pop-up window. Please note that this action cannot be undone.

Q: Why do I keep seeing similar names or not getting new names?

A: KiddoName is designed to consistently offer you new and different names. The app remembers approximately the last 500 names it has generated to avoid showing you the same ones again. If you set your filters to be very restrictive (for example, by choosing a very specific origin and theme), the pool of available new names may be limited. Try broadening your filters for more varied results.
