Important!
All students are required to register for courses every regular semester throughout the study period.
Pre-registration
Online course pre-registration typically starts on week 9-10 of the previous semester.
Students may continue registering online for courses until week 1 of a regular semester as long as the sections are still available (or do not reach the maximum class limit).
Course reservation
If a section is no longer available (has reached the maximum class limit), a student may RESERVE the course by clicking the reservation button/link in the online registration system.
Reserved courses will be evaluated during the semester break. Successful/unsuccessful candidates will be notified through KICT official communication channels.
Course adjustment/late registration
Course adjustment/late registration is on Week 1-2 of a regular semester using hard copy forms (UG01 form-refer the below procedure A and B) and requires approval from the respective course instructors. Week 2 course adjustment is chargeable RM5 per course per day.
The UG01 form needs to be submitted to the following department:-
Courses that start with CSCI/BICS - Department of Computer Science (DCS), Level 4, Block B, KICT building.
Courses that start with INFO/BIIT - Department of Information Systems (DIS), Level 4, Block B, KICT building.
Courses that start with UNGS - Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (IRKHS)
Courses that start with SCSH - Sejahtera Centre for Sustainability and Humanity (CENSERVE), sejahtera@iium.edu.my
Courses that start with TQTD, LQAD, LMBD, LEED - Centre for Languages and Pre-University Academic Development (CELPAD), celpad@iium.edu.my
Courses that start with CCUB, CCLM, CCFS - Credited cocu, Student Affairs and Development Division (STADD), creditedcocu@iium.edu.my
Non-registered status
By week 4 of a regular semester, student status will be set to 'NR-non-registered' if not registered for any courses.
By week 12 of a regular semester, student with the status 'NR' will be terminated 'status-TD' from his studies.

Course Registration Procedures
1. Fill-up UG01 form (one course, one form). Attach result slip and course registration slip.
2. Get approval from course instructor.
3. Submit the hard copies to the Department office.
For BIIT/INFO courses, submit it to the Dept. of IS office.
For BICS/CSCI courses, submit it to the Dept of CS office.
Same as procedure (A) above, but pay late fees (RM5 per day per course) at Finance Zone 2, Kulliyyah of Engineering.
Fill-up UG01 form (one course, one form) and get approval from the course instructor. Attach the receipt with your UG01 form, result slip and course registration slip.
Submit the hard copies to the Department office.
Fill-up the UG03 form.
Get approval from the course instructor.
Submit the form to the Department or KICT Academic Office.
Fill-up the UG04 form.
Get approval from the course instructor.
Pay RM300 at Finance Zone 2, Kulliyyah of Engineering. Attach the receipt with the UG04 form.
Submit the form to the KICT Academic Office.
Fill-up the UG05 form.
Get approval from the course instructor.
Pay RM500 at Finance Zone 2, Kulliyyah of Engineering. Attach the receipt with the UG04 form.
Submit the form to the KICT Academic Office.
