I came from London for a six-month downship in Mumbai, and quite frankly, I was terrified, because I hadn't heard a lot of good things about India. I had heard stories about the "Maximum city" - The crowds, the rains, poor transportation, unhygienic, and legendary struggle for finding a decent place to live. As an international student, I didn't just need a room. I needed a space where I can feel comfortable and like home. My search history was a mess of queries - hostels in Mumbai for students, safety ratings, distance and proximity to the city centre.
That's when I landed on the page of The Hive Hostels. The moment I checked, I realised that the hostel life here wasn't about bunk pads and cramped spaces. But it was about a good curated lifestyle, which made a new city feel like a home.
I wanted my rental space near the South Mumbai building since my internship was near the South Mumbai heritage buildings. However, finding a pg in churchgate mumbai was a challenging task, since everyone wanted to be there. Most of the places were old and dim, but the hive property in the area was a breath of fresh air. The property showcased the feel of modern, bright, and most importantly, safe.
Because I was travelling solo, I was specifically looking for a pg in churchgate mumbai for female residents that offered a professional management team. At Hive, I found a community of girls who were also interns or young professionals. We’d spend our evenings on the terrace, trading stories about our day, which completely cured my homesickness.
I only heard that Indians are friendly people, but now I have experienced it. During my time there, I met so many students from across India. A few from St. Xavier's College were looking for a decent pg near st xavier's college mumbai before finding Hive. They loved the fact that they could walk to their lectures and then come back to a place that served hot, hygienic meals, a luxury you don't always get in a typical pg for girls in mumbai.
I also took a trip up to Vile Parle to visit a batchmate. She was staying at what I’d call the pg near st xavier's college mumbai. It had this incredible "Tribe" vibe, a mix of study zones and gaming areas that kept everyone balanced.
All in all, I had an amazing stay experience with The Hive Hostels. Whenever I come back, I will stay with them only. If you are also a student and searching for a decent stay experience, then go check out The Hive Hostels.
