Privacy Policy

MD Developer Studio ("we", "us" or "our") built the Kharchify: Expense Tracker app (the "App") as an ad-supported app, provided at no cost. This page explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
The expenses, income, categories, notes, budgets and settings you enter are stored only on your device, in the App's private storage. We do not upload this financial data to our servers. We cannot see, read or sell it.
If Android's device backup is turned on, Android may include App data in your personal Google account backup. That backup is controlled by Google and your device settings, not by us.
If you use Settings → Back up data or Export to CSV, the App writes your records to a file in a location you choose (for example your phone storage or Google Drive). We never receive that file. Anyone who has the file can read it, so keep it somewhere safe. Restore data only reads the file you pick.
Uninstalling the App, or using Settings → Delete all data, permanently removes this data from your device.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise GPS location, or bank / card details.
Purchases: if you buy Kharchify Pro, the payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. The App only receives a confirmation from Google Play that you own Pro, and keeps a small "Pro unlocked" flag on your device.
The free version of the App shows ads served by Google AdMob. Ads are turned off completely, and the Mobile Ads SDK is not started, for users who have bought Pro. Ads may be personalised based on your Advertising ID, where the law allows and you have consented.
Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent on first launch, using Google's consent form. You can change your choice any time in Settings → Ad privacy options.
On any Android device you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact menu depends on your device).
We use the information above only to:
provide, maintain and improve the App;
detect, diagnose and fix crashes and technical problems;
understand which features are used, so we can improve them;
show ads that keep the App free.
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only:
with the service providers listed in Section 2, who process it for us;
if required by law, court order or a government request;
to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or us.
Data you enter stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
Analytics and crash data are kept by Google according to its own retention settings (Firebase Analytics keeps user-level data for up to 14 months by default; Crashlytics keeps crash data for 90 days).
Your data is stored in the App's private storage, which other apps cannot access on a normal (non-rooted) Android device. Data sent to Google services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, or US state privacy laws such as the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to object to or restrict processing.
Financial data you enter is only on your device, so you can view, edit or delete it directly in the App.
To withdraw ad consent, use Settings → Ad privacy options.
For any other request, email us at the address below. We will reply within 30 days.
Our service providers (Google) may process information on servers outside your country, including in the United States, with appropriate safeguards.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date. We encourage you to review it periodically. Continuing to use the App after changes means you accept them.
