In the teaching observations that I did. I observed that the learning system in the Philippines uses the Student Center system.
The learning system that I observed was :
1.) The teacher gives an opening question which the students will immediately answer.
2.) The teacher divides the groups, after which the students sit according to their respective groups.
3.) After forming groups, the teacher holds games in the class. Where in these games there are 2 bells provided which are placed on two tables in front of the class. The teacher has also prepared cardboard paper that is attached, where the cardboard contains a hot air balloon, which if it is broken, the hot air balloon will contain a paper containing instructions for getting prizes. There are several balloons with paper containing instructions that you won't get a prize, so if the group's answer is correct they won't get a prize. Groups will line up lengthwise to the back according to their respective groups. Then the teacher will show the questions on Power Point on the class television. The teacher will count 1 to 3 then the group that runs forward the fastest and presses the bell will answer the questions listed on the Power Point.
4.) If the group that presses the bell does not answer the question correctly then that group does not get a chance to pop the balloon. If the group that presses the bell answers the question correctly then that group gets the opportunity to pop the balloon to get a prize.
5.) After the games session, the teacher gives a quiz in the form of a sheet of question paper. Where each student takes the quiz for 5 minutes.
6.) After taking the quiz, students are directed to do the assignment.
In the teaching observations that I did. I observed that the learning system in the Philippines uses the Student Center system.
In this lesson, the teacher continues the learning from the previous meeting. Where the teacher gives a quiz using a sheet of multiple choice questions and is filled in by each student.
From this observation I also know that the maximum number of students in the class is 44 students.
After answering the quiz, the teacher collects multiple choice question sheets and then distributes them randomly to students. Students are randomly appointed by the teacher to stand in a place, read the questions and answer the questions. 1 question read by 1 student.
