1. First Day of Teaching
2. Second Day of Teaching
3. Third Day of Teaching
My first day of teaching was Tuesday, November 19 2024. On my first day of teaching I did two stages, namely elicit cards where I gave a video showing the differences between meiosis and mitosis then I gave short questions about the video to the students.
After that, I showed the PIQ (Primary Inquiry Question) questions where these critical questions would later be answered during the explain card.
After that, students continued to read the story on the Engage Card together. After they read the story together, then they wrote the questions shown on the power point where they each answered the questions. After they are written and answered, students are randomly appointed to answer these 2 questions. The correct answer will be displayed on power point.
My second day of teaching was Wednesday, November 20 2024. On that day I continued my learning on Explore Card. At this stage I provide material points that I will teach before getting into the core of the explore card, namely Experimentation. I briefly explain the material points that will be studied then I direct the class to form groups.
After creating groups, then i directed the class to pay attention to the Meiosis Cell Division Experiment Video that I showed. Once finished, then i showed the Mitosis Cell Division Experiment Video.
After finishing watching 2 Videos of Cell Division Experiments. Then I distributed worksheets containing the results of mitosis and meiosis experiments where each group discussed the experimental answers as directed by the teacher. Each group is given 10 minutes to answer the worksheet and discuss.
After being given time to answer and discuss, groups will be randomly appointed to present answers to the experimental results on the worksheet. After it is presented, the teacher will show and explain the correct answer from the experimental results on power point.
2. Second Day of Teaching
3. Third Day of Teaching
My third day of teaching was Thursday, November 21 2024, which was my Final Demonstration teaching day.
After discussing the answers together from the experimental results. Then proceed to the next stage, namely Explain Card, where at this stage students are given questions on Power Point and then they will answer on a blank sheet of paper for 2 minutes. The questions contain 3 short questions and 1 PIQ (Primary Inquiry Question). After being filled in by the students, the answers to the questions are discussed together in class, the answers are also displayed on Power Point.
Then, after discussing it together, the teacher makes conclusions from the results of the discussion in the Explain Card.
After the Explain Card stage, it is followed by the Elaborate Card stage. At this stage the teacher carries out 2 activities using the Tarpapel that has been provided. Activity 1 uses mitosis cell division. The teacher will randomly appoint groups to stick pictures according to the names of the stages on the white paper.
Once finished, the teacher will discuss the correct answer to activity 1. Followed by the 2nd activity, which is the 2nd activity using pictures of mitosis and meiosis cell division that occur in the real world. Then, groups will be randomly assigned to come forward and stick to the name of the correct division according to the picture.
Once finished, the teacher will discuss the correct answers to activity 2.
The next stage is the Evaluate Card. Where at this stage the teacher gives a worksheet containing 3 multiple choice questions, then students are given 3 minutes to answer the worksheet individually and are not allowed to look at the notes. After completing the worksheet, it is submitted to the teacher.
The teacher then distributes the worksheet back to students at random, then the teacher appoints students at random to read the questions and answers to the questions. The correct answers are then discussed in power point.
The final stage of this learning is Extend Card. At this stage students are given assignments to be done at home and collected again at the next meeting. Questions and answers are answered on a blank sheet.
