Hello friends
As many of you know I recently returned from a truly wonderful trip to Kerala with Jim and a gorgeous group of humans! I honestly can't tell you just how nourishing and magical this trip really was. There were certainly plenty of serendipitous moments that only India can deliver and we feel so full of inspiration from this trip! (We're back in January 2028 btw so you can start planning!). If you saw the social posts and thought you'd like a bit of that winter escape we are off to Goa next January 2027 for a 9 night trip. It's already 3/4 full so if you're thinking about it I would recommend booking sooner rather than later (payment plans are available). Honestly if it's even half as good as our recent trip it will be amazing!
If India is a bit too far then we are off to Morocco at the end of September into early October (a great way to extend the summer that little bit!). Tigmi is another of our absolute favourite places so if Morocco has always been on your bucket list then I can highly recommend this trip.
Finally on the retreat front, even closer to home and closer in time is my summer weekend at Florence House. Many of you have been multiple times so you know how wonderful this place is. There are just 6 places left so get in touch soon if you want to join. Anyone who contacts me by Friday 24th April can have the early bird price.
I really hope to see you soon!
Much love,
Khadine xx
Sunday 26th April, 2-4.30pm
Brighton Buddhist Centre (Evolution Arts)
A lot of what we do in a yoga practice involves the cultivation and manipulation of prāṇa / lifeforce. We will explore prāṇa in depth - what is it?, can we feel it?, can we utilise it?, does awareness of prāṇa lead to integration? Khadine will skillfully lead you through yoga posture work with a focus on breath awareness and trust in the breath through direct experience and traditional teachings. She will include guided breath-based practices and mediation and you'll also get a guided yoga nidrā (reclined deep meditation-type practice). This is suitable for all levels from beginners to very experienced as practices will be adapted accordingly.
This workshop will include āsana, prāṇāyāmas, meditation and yoga nidrā.
Next session is Friday 1st May and by popular demand and a happy coincidence of the full moon landing that day, it will be a full moon immersion. I have now made these monthly Fridays into a 2 hour workshop so we can go DEEP! Don't forget, you can make a real evening of it and book in a sauna at Luna Wave too!
You can have a 15% off discount off the workshop too with code KHADINE15
Women's Retreat
Sunday 17th May 10am-4.30pm
Step out of the noise, into sanctuary
The Wild Space, near Piddinghoe
Just one space left as this newsletter goes out!
After selling out within hours year after year, this much-loved women’s retreat returns to the Wild Space, inviting you to step away from the noise of daily life and into a space of nourishment, connection and renewal. The day is held in a warm, supportive atmosphere, surrounded by nature.
I'll guide you through the morning session, offering a deeply meditative practice designed to ground and fully bring you in to the space. This inward-focused experience creates space for deep rest and reflection, held in a cozy and sacred setting.
After a delicious, nourishing lunch with locally sourced herbal teas, the afternoon is led by Sam, owner of The Wild Space, where you’ll be guided into a fiery, invigorating session.
Between sessions, you’ll have time to wander, rest, and restore.
End the day in the woodland spa, with access to the sauna, refreshing cold plunge, or simply relaxing by the fire.
Created by women, for women, this retreat offers a much-needed pause from the demands of everyday life, with an invitation to soften, release accumulated stress, and return home feeling restored, inspired, and deeply alive.
This place is really special!
Summer Solstice day retreat with Jim and Khadine
21st June in Barcombe
This will be lush! A full day of yoga practices with us both - food, juices, teas, cake, friendliness and a nice walk around the lake. This will be a an extended day so longer than the usual yoga day as we want to really honour this special time of year
Longer holidays and retreats
5th - 7th June 2026
I am taking bookings for both my winter Florence House weekend retreat in Seaford on the 9th-11th January 2026 and my summer retreat there too.
I have been leading retreats here since 2012 and it really is a home from home for me!
Please get in touch if you’d like to join us at this wonderful nurturing venue set next to the gorgeous Seaford Head and Seaford beach. It's a full immersion into rest, delicious food and good company!
Payment plans are available if required. I hope you can join me!
26th Sept - 3rd Oct 2026
Another of my absolute favourite places in the world! Tigmi is really special, set in a Berber village with the Atlas mountains as the backdrop. In fact the picture above is the view looking out from the yoga terrace. If you looked the other way you'd see the Atlas mountains!
It's only 30 minutes in a car to Marrakech so you can completely retreat or you can nip into Marrakech and enjoy the bustle of the souk! There are also Atlas mountain trips available and an on-site hammam! There is a reason we return here again and again!
This is co-led with the brilliant Jim Tarran and includes accommodation and all meals and yoga tuition.
21st Jan - 30th Jan 2027
This trip is really special for many reasons. Of course it's in India! It's located on the most southern beach of Goa (it actually borders the state of Karnataka) so is beautifully quiet, and the accomodation and yogashala are on the beach! Who doesnt want to break up the European winter with some Indian sunshine and delicious food?
Jim Tarran and I will lead this 9 day yoga holiday to include two yoga classes a day, accommodation and delicious food. There will be a day off in the middle to explore further afield - It's going to be wonderful. This trip has already booked to 3/4 full off the back of one social media post so I would get in quickly if you're thinking about it!
Trainings and courses
Yoganidrā Teacher Training 50 hour YAP accredited
Next intake is in September 2026 (it's already starting to book!)
I love running this course and I think it's just getting better and better. It is resulting in some great yoganidrā teachers, including previously experienced teachers who have found a new level of confidence with this practice. We dive deep into the subject from all angles and the course will give you confidence to develop your own yoganidrā style. The course runs between September - November 2026 so it's a really lovely time to have something that is deeply nourishing for you and you get to learn to share this wonderful practice. Honestly it's the best homework (yes you do have to do personal yoganidrā practice - what a hardship!). This is a very rounded complete training, so not only will you learn the techniques that other training courses offer, but you will learn about the rich history of sleep-based practices in South Asian yoga and meditation traditions and modern neuroscience in order to put this practice into the context of yoga philosophy and traditional and modern yogic aims. This course is suitable for yoga and conscious body-work teachers and people working in one to one therapeutic disciplines who might want to offer therapeutic one-to-one guided yoganidrā. Please enquire regarding partial bursary spaces if you require a discount.
Vajrasati Teacher Training 500+ hour YAP accredited
Our next intake is in September and some of you have already secured your place!
If this is something you've thought about for a while or maybe you've just been struck by the idea to do a teacher training it's never too early to talk to me or Jim about the training so please do get in touch if this September sounds like your time. I hope it is!
Did you know that following a deposit the course is only £120 per month so it’s probably more affordable than you think! You don’t even need to become a yoga teacher. Many people undertake the course who simply want to deepen their yoga practice and understanding. Others of course do want to be a yoga teacher, so whatever your reason we will help you realise your hopes. The course is structured around school term times so it is very conducive to family life if you have childcare commitments.
This is a really fully integrated teaching training course that includes a full comprehensive understanding of yoga āsana (posture) with the tools you need to teach, anatomy, philosophy, Sanskrit, prāṇāyāma, meditation and mantra. But best of all, what Vajrasati excels in is community. The school is founded on a philosophy of shared learning and respect so joining this teacher training means you are joining a supportive community of heart-centered teachers, with support for the whole of your yoga journey even after the course is complete. Your training is delivered Jim Tarran (the founder of Vajrasati yoga) and me, who between us have over 5 decades of teaching experience. We are also supported by 2 very experienced senior teachers of the school so you will be in good hands!
1 year Daśa Mahāvidyā (10 wisdom goddess) meditation immersion
This immersion is for anyone wanting to dive into a year of regular meditation practices through the tantric and haṭhayoga traditions. The wisdom goddesses are our support for this so the structure of the course involves a 2-hour live meet (in-person or on-line as you choose) for each goddess (10 goddesses) where I take you through various aspects including iconography, symbolism, characteristics, mantras and meditations. These sessions are then supported by practices that I send to you (a minimum or two per week) for you to do in your own time that range from meditations, reflection practices, yoganidrā, chanting or life integration practices. We also have two 30-minute live dial-in meditations with each goddess over the month or so we are working with them. You will receive over 100 practices throughout the year! You can find more info and the meet up dates below.
It re-starts in January 2027 too.
Monthly Friday evening yoga and yoganidrā zoom class is now on the 3rd Friday of the month so you can join on Friday 17th April this month.
6.30-8pm
