My Role: Key Holder/Sales Associate

I am a Key Holder and a Sales Associate at Riley’s Menswear in Cartersville, Georgia, a local men’s clothing store that rents tuxedos for formal events. As a Key Holder, I oversee the opening and closing procedures of the store on the days that I work. These procedures include balancing registers, reconciling tuxedo sales data, and securing the store doors. As a Sales Associate, I work our point-of-sale system when checking out customers, count inventory, and unbox and tag new clothing arrivals. Since Riley’s is not only a menswear store but also a tuxedo rental store, I have had to develop the skill of measuring males of all ages for tuxes. Helping customers pick out tuxedos for proms, weddings, and formal events is something that I thoroughly enjoy. I have a gift with customer service, which has increased our tuxedo sales since I've started working here. I have had customers promise their return with more business in response to their experience with me. Experiences like these keep me wanting to excel in my job and better myself as a Sales Associate.
